UPCOMING EVENTS, TICKET SALES, AND MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL
Ticket sales start Monday, October 1 in the Lodge between 10am and 12noon for our Welcome To Fall Dance. Tickets are $10 for members and $12 for guests. It is presented by Gigantic Productions "DJ" Super Special Effects with a free photo booth on October 27 in the Lodge. Doors will open at 6:30pm and dancing will be from 7pm until 9:30pm. Please join us for an evening of dancing, friendship and fun. This is a BYOB/BYOS evening.
There are still some tickets remaining for the Escape Artist themed room on October 18, at 5pm. Tickets are $22.50 and you can purchase them at the Lodge on Mondays and Wednesdays between 10am and 12noon. The Escape Artist is located at 5230 Mariner Blvd., Spring Hill.
Save the date for our annual "Goodbye Daylight Savings Time" on Saturday, November 3 at Pine Island. We plan to meet at Pine Island around 5pm to watch the sun set on the last day of daylight savings time. We will be taking photographs for our website. If you purchased a Boomer shirt, please wear it. If not, please wear a blue shirt for the photos. After the sun sets, many of us will go to various restaurants or back to the club for dinner.
Membership Renewal for 2019 will begin Monday, October 22 and continue until Monday, December 31. There are three ways in which you can renew your membership. First, you can place a check or cash in an envelope with your name/names and any information that may have changed since last year, and give it to me or whoever is selling tickets at the Lodge on any Monday or Wednesday between 10am and 12noon. Second, You can place a check or cash in an envelope with your name/names and any change of information such as phone numbers, email address or TP address. Place the envelope in a box marked "Boomers" at my front door, 2443 Grandfather Mountain. Third, you may mail your renewal check to me, Kathy Dunphy, Membership Chair, 2443 Grandfather Mountain, Spring Hill, FL 34606. Please remember that we cannot accept any Canadian checks or checks with RBC on them. Many of you have told me that it was difficult to come to the lodge to renew at specific times. Snowbirds also expressed a desire to have an opportunity to renew their membership before returning to Timber Pines. We hope this extended and early membership renewal will give you an opportunity to renew at your convenience without requiring you to renew only on Mondays or Wednesdays. New members may join at any time and renewals will be from October 22 until December 31. If you have questions, please call me at 314-221-4530.
